The Dead Queens are an Alternative Rock band with a bluesy bent from Leesburg, Virginia. Having played venues across the Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia metro area since their inception in 2023, most notably being D.C. United’s Audi Field and the Crossroads Music Festival, this industry tested-quartet plays thunderously true-to-form renditions of the classics, while incorporating their own originals to give crowds something new to chew on and stick around for, long after they unplug. Influenced heavily by Queens of the Stone Age, ZZ Top, The Police, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, The White Stripes, and The Strokes, the Dead Queens sound is sure to get your feet stomping, hips moving, and head banging. Adjectives that fans have used to paint a picture for the uninitiated new listener preparing to attend one of their shows would be “Groovy, Goofy, Heavy, Punky, and at times, Political”. The Dead Queens showed no sign of stopping as they finished up their Junior year in 2025, with a litany of shows that fans and newcomers alike looked forward to on the calendar in their Quartercennial campaign. The band released their eponymous first original EP, featuring the tracks, “Lucidity”, “Cut Me In (To The Bone)”, “A Night In Istanbul”, and “Bad Magick” on April 21st, 2025 on all streaming platforms. Recorded at Ivakota Studio in Washington, D.C, this 4-song heater was absolutely a first of many explosions into the streaming world for the band, with much more on the way soon. While you wait for a plethora of new cuts to round out their first album, make sure to follow the Dead Queens on Instagram, listen to them on Spotify and Apple Music, and watch their live show footage available on YouTube.

xt ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageM
